Bookish pet peeves
Bookish Pet Peeves.
July 11, 2018
We all have pet peeves. People clicking their knuckles, chewing with their mouths open or slurping drinks. But when it comes to books I have a few pet peeves that get me all hot and bothered. Here are my top bookish pet peeves. If i miss your bookish pet peeve out, leave a comment and I will do a post later on with the most commented.
1. Folding the pages.
*breathe in ... breath out* ... WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS?!??! sorry. I'll start again. Over the years I have come to appreciate the effort that authors must go to in order to write and publish a book. A lot of blood, sweat, swearing and tears must go into finishing a book off and to know that somewhere out there there is some 'lovely' person folding the page to keep their place in the book. NO. My argument is simple. A bookmark is not expensive, I mean most of the time I just use a clean tissue or a bit of paper lying around. So there is no excuse for someone to fold a page ... EVER.
2. When your favourite character dies.
Im looking at you Rowling and Martin. Don't get me wrong, I do understand that some deaths are needed for the story plot but why kill people that in my opinion did not need to die? for example,***AND SPOILER*** Tonks and Remus in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I am sorry to bring this back up to both to the fans and to the amazingly talented author, J.K.Rowling; you have had enough grief over the years about your choice of deaths. But why did they both have to die? I think it would have been just a powerful to kill one of them than both. (Sorry rant over.)
3. Why is it so hard to read and walk?
This is no ones fault but, the time that I have spent walking to and from classes or work, I could have finished a hundred books. I hope to one day, teach my children how to read and walk and create a super human race a- ... mwhahaha. Sorry I diverse once again. I think that it would be a cool talent to learn or just have.
So this was a short post and I hope you've enjoyed reading!! please leave a comment and subscribe on the main page.
